We all want to be prepared for college, right? Getting our volunteer hours completed is the first step to standing out when that time finally comes and you need to apply to college. Even as a freshman, it is still very important to get a head start on your hours so that you aren’t saving them until the last minute. Volunteer hours may seem boring, but we will be covering many topics involving volunteer hours that will help us see that completing our hours can be fun, rather than a burden. Some of those topics include: how to manage our hours each year, where we can get them done in and outside of school, and how we can get a program approved to Valor’s list of approved volunteer options. In this interview, we discuss volunteer hours with Ms. Jodi Knutson, discovery coordinator at Valor Christian High School. She will be giving valuable advice to students here at Valor that allows us to be confident with their hours before graduation.
